Tired of being stuck at the surface?

Our Discover Freediving Course in Coiba National Park is designed to provide you with a safe, enjoyable, and educational introduction to the world of freediving. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some prior snorkeling experience, we will tailor the course to suit your individual needs. By the end of this day-and-a-half, you’ll not only have gained valuable freediving skills, but will also have had a glimpse into the remarkable marine life that calls Coiba National Park home.

Day 1: We meet in the afternoon (time tbc) for the theory session.

Day 2: We meet at 7 in the morning to do some stretching and then head out to Coiba for the practical part of the course. Return to Santa Catalina between 3 and 4 pm.

  • 15 years old (11 for junior certification)
  • able to swim 200 meters without fins

$290 + $20 for the national park fee

Includes:

  • 1 classroom session
  • 1 in water training session
  • 1 fun dive session in Coiba National Park
  • 1 stretching and breathing warm up session
  • rental gear
  • lunch on diving days

Includes:

• Introduction to freediving and the different disciplines

• Freediving Equipment

• Freediving techniques (entries, kicking, efficiency…)

• Equalization techniques

• Breathing techniques

• Hydration and diet

In Water Session 

• Preparation of equipment

• Breathing techniques in the water

• Practice entries and kicking technique

• Practice and correction of body positioning

• Buoyancy check

• Freedives on the dive-line to a maximum depth of 12 metre
