Coiba Island is a renowned location for its rich marine biodiversity and pristine waters. As a certified freediver, we can offer you a personal in-water coaching session to improve or refresh your skills followed by some fun diving on one of Coiba’s many reefs.

Duration: 1 day

Price: $120 + the entrance fee to the national park

We meet at the dive shop at 7 am for some stretching and a little pre-dive chat. Once ready, we head out to Coiba National Park, an hour boat ride from Santa Catalina, where we drop the line near one of the islands for our training session (20 to 30 meters, depending on conditions and possible locations). After a break on one of the beautiful beaches and a light lunch you’ll get the chance to get a closer look at the Coiba reefs, and hopefully have a few cool encounters with some of our permanent marine residents. We return to Santa Catalina between 3 and 4 pm.

I did the Total Apnea beginners course with Sabina and I couldn’t have asked for a better course or a better instructor. Sabina has a personal approach to each person and is able to tailor the course perfectly to different needs.
We did different breathing exercises to prepare and Sabina put a lot of emphasis on different safety aspects. In the water we learned how to secure each other so that I feel comfortable practising alone with my partner in the future. But with all the important things, there is one thing above all that is not neglected: the fun of diving. Sabina accompanied us, took away worries, gave tips and cheered us on. Being able to hear whales while diving was of course one of the absolute highlights 🐳
